winamp no more
mr-tThu Nov 21, 2013 10:26 pm
as of December the 20th winamp will be no more, AOL is closing it down after 15 years. its a real shame to see it go, i would like to see it become open source but don't think it will happen.
so as result i am looking for a new mp3 player, that is low on system resources and screen retail

I should point out that as long as you have a downloaded installer it's not like you can't keep using winamp.

Ya i saw that a couple days ago. Unexpected. But I switched to Foobar a while ago, so i guess my timing was good. If be nice if someone would release the code after its' demise...

Guess I should download the latest version for the future. I use it for most of my casual listening.
Thanks for the heads up!
