Do I save a few hundred and go with the 480, or do I put out out and get a 1070?
Will be matched up with an i7.
This will most likely be my last system, so I want it to last a while.
i would say 1080 if you can should keep you going for a few years unless there's a massive break through
I went over this with Mr. T in TS & I agree AMD has had a bad reputation with their drivers mostly but it is all about the cost since I am on such a tight budget. I upgraded to the 8350 FX & the 480 gets me the specs. I need to play the new games & be VR ready when the headsets come down a little. For $ 400 I get what I need on what I can afford & I have had no problems with any of my past MSI cards. I started with 2 5870's (Back in the box still work), upgraded to 2 Twin Frozer 7950's (Still work great) & I upgraded to 2 Twin Frozers VI RX 480 4 G this BF. These are some of the best cards I have gotten from them yet as far as the quality plus all the reviews I read were very positive. I wanted to go 8 G but again the cost.
I bought 2 to run in SLI & I also have a View Sonic TS Stand Alone that can be used as a monitor plus my 21 inch Cintiq that has to have its own card so the 2 DVI's & 4 HDMI's lets me run those & my 3 27" for Eyefinity.
